    Funeral Home Assistant         

     

    Ahlberg Funeral Chapel is an independent family owned mortuary located in Longmont, Colorado on the front range of the Rocky Mountains.

     

    We’re looking for someone to assist us as needed to make transfers of bodies, set up and work funeral and memorial services and assist in other general duties around the funeral home.

     

    There are no set hours and work would be on an as needed basis.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Team player   
    • Outgoing
    • Ability to follow directions
    • Flexible
    • Excellent driving skills and record
    • Willingness to learn and grow within our organization 
    • Ability to lift 125 pounds

     

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Being on call and available to make removals during both the daytime and or nighttime hours.
    • Working at funeral and memorial services by ushering, registering attendees, moving and setting up flowers and equipment.
    • Picking up and transferring of bodies from morgues, hospitals, nursing facilities, homes and hospitals.
    • Delivering and picking up of paperwork and other documentation to assist in the funeral process.

     

    Pay to be determined based on experience.

    • To make removals both during normal hours, and on call at night as necessary.
    • Dressing, casketing, and cosmetizeing for viewings
    • Answering the door greeting families and the general public.  Helping families of the deceased with any questions they might have.
    • Providing the highest level of customer service and care to our client families

     

    Experience:

    Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a funeral home

    Or

    Mortuary Science degree
