About the Combined Convention

The 2010 Combined Convention will be the ninth annual event for the CFDA and the CAC. The organizations first combined their conventions in September 2001 to offer affordable, high quality education opportunities for both funeral service and cemetery professionals. By combining their annual conventions, it helped the organizations to combat shrinking attendance at their respective events, and provided more convenience and affordability for vendors by allowing suppliers to see both segments of their customers at one event.

The CFDA-CAC Combined Convention is the premier event where mortuary science practitioners, funeral directors, cremationists, embalmers and cemetery professionals from Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region can learn about trends and techniques to enhance their operations, improve their practical skills, enhance customer care, engage in valuable networking and idea-sharing activities, and see the latest industry products and services.

The convention features more than 12 hours of continuing education sessions taught by nationally-recognized educators and local experts, and also offers a showcase of products and services used in the funeral and cemetery services profession.

More than 120 funeral service and cemetery representatives from the Rocky Mountain region attended the 2009 Combined Convention in Denver.

Exhibits and Sponsorship

The purpose of the exhibits is to complement education sessions by enabling registrants to see, hear and evaluate the latest developments in equipment, supplies and services that are recommended for use the funeral and cemetery services industry.

The exhibit hall hosts more than 35 displays, as well as refreshment breaks, lunch and receptions.
If all booths are sold, a waiting list will be started and new exhibitors may be accepted on a space available basis in the event of a cancellation.

It is the objective of the Convention Planning Committee to maintain an appropriate ratio between convention registrants and vendors, therefore, the number of exhibit booths available for sale is dependent upon registration by funeral and cemetery professionals. Registration statistics will be monitored frequently and more exhibit booths may be added through the end of August.
